Behaviour and Anti-Bullying Policy

The school’s Behaviour Policy was developed by representatives of the whole school community. The policy is a clear and comprehensive document setting out the school’s high expectations of behaviour and discipline. In aiming to maintain and enrich the positive ethos of the school, we try to recognise and praise the good efforts of the children at all times. Bullying will not be tolerated. It will be dealt with seriously and may result in exclusion.

Many strategies are used by staff, both to encourage good behaviour and to deal effectively with any incidents of poor behaviour. In order to maintain our calm, happy and productive learning environment, we work closely with parents regarding any behavioural issues. The school’s Behaviour Policy and rewards given underpin the behaviour we expect from our pupils:

  • Always work hard and try your best

  • Show respect to everyone, keeping your hands and feet to yourself

  • Always follow instructions given by a St Dominic's adult

  • Be calm and quiet in and around school

  • Look after our school property
