Letter from Camden Music Service

Camden Music Service runs different events during the year to encourage children to enjoy music and perform for different audiences.

On Tuesday 25th June, St. John’s Year 2 pupils performed at the Music Festival for our cluster group of schools, which was held at Fleet Primary school. The children gave two wonderful performances of “Do- a- deer” and “Edelweiss” from The Sound of Music. The children had worked on their own music composition during their music lessons and created it especially for the Music Festival.

Well done St. John’s class, all the staff working with you were very proud. A very big thank you to all the children and staff who accompanied them. A special thanks also to our music teacher, Mr Gamage, who prepared the children so well for this event. All the hard work from our Year 2 pupils, Mr Gamage and staff was recognised by the Camden Music Service and we received a lovely letter from Sheena Masson which you will find below.
