The Key Stage 2 Carol concert took place in the Church this afternoon. This was the final concert of the term and a wonderful way to get ready for Christmas. Years 3, 4, 5 and 6 classes joined together to tell the story of the Nativity, using a mixture of modern and traditional hymns and carols. The children sang and performed the story beautifully and every child made a fantastic effort to take part, whether they were part of a choir group, an actor, a soloist or a musician.
As with the other plays, the children were very confident and we were very proud of how everyone helped to make the concert such a success. Thanks to all the children and the whole team of staff working with them to ensure the performance was of such a high standard. Rehearsals for all the concerts began early in November and everyone has worked very hard to make them such a success.
A special thanks must also go to our specialist music teacher, Mr Gamage, for his work with the singing and music. We are very fortunate to have such a dedicated team of staff who help the children to develop their amazing gifts and talents. Thank you for joining us at the concerts, it has been lovely to share these celebrations with you!
