Our Year 1 and Year 2 classes performed their fantastic Nativity play “Whoops-a-Daisy Angel” on Friday afternoon. They told us the story of an accident-prone angel called Daisy who is trying to earn new wings and wants to tell everyone about the birth of this very special baby, Jesus.
The children sang, acted and read very confidently and the play was a real celebration of the Nativity story. Like the EYFS play, there was a great turnout from parents, grandparents and other family members, thank you for your support of this event. Well done children, we are all very proud of you. Thank you also to the staff in these classes for all their hard work preparing the children and helping them achieve such a high quality of performance. The costumes and scenery were also excellent and took a lot of preparation, thank you everyone who was involved and to St. John class for their work creating the scenery. A special thanks must also go to our specialist music teacher, Mr Gamage, for his work with the singing and music with both plays this week.
