This week, we were very fortunate to take part in a cooking activity. As our topic this term is focussing on ‘China’, we made rice paper wraps and learnt about different foods that are eaten in China, such as noodles. We learnt about the importance of being safe when preparing food-why it is essential to wash our hands beforehand. All of us participated in prepping and had a go at tasting what we had created.
Electricity and Circuits
In Science, we have been learning about ‘Electricity’. We have looked at what appliances we use that are electrical and which ones are not. In our lesson this week, we looked at how to create a circuit. We learnt that batteries had a positive terminal and a negative terminal and that they would not work if two batteries were facing the same way up. We were delighted with our achievements when we managed to get the lightbulbs to light up!
Trip to the London Transport Musuem
As part of our topic on ‘Transport’, we have been lucky enough to go to the London Transport Museum. We learnt a lot about the different types of transport the public have used in London over the last century. It was very interesting to learn how the London tube has developed and how modern the red buses have become.
Our first trip to the CLC
This half term we were lucky enough to go the CLC. We had a fantastic time and learnt a lot about ICT. The aim of the day was to learn how to build lego robots. You can see which robots we made in the photos below. We cannot wait to go back!
Welcome to Year 3
We have a lot of fun learning new things every day! We always work really hard and try our best to achieve our full potential.
Our class teacher, Mr Perry, will be updating our page so that you can see what we are learning about. We cannot wait for what happens this year and you will be able to see what we get up to. We hope you enjoy reading about us!
