2021-2022

Busy busy busy day yesterday, We had a camp fire and had a great time. The children got to roast their own marshmallows and thankfully no one was sick...it was close though smiley we sang some songs, had some instruments and were very creative with our camp fire dance moves!

Today, we sent the last group off to the Chelmer and are about to start our activities. We've got the Ropes course over the dreaded bog. mountain biking and the final groups will be caving.

this evening we've made a change too - we're having a pool party! Daves Dancing Disco will open at 7 until late... so everyone is very excited.

Wont be long until were home now! See you all soon.

Day 2 was an action packed day, as you can see! The children loved meeting the animals - the goats were the firm favourite though. Some of the children were keen to take the animals home for pets smiley

On Day 3, another group sets off on the River Chelmer, canoeing. While the others go climbing, raft building and caving on site. We've got Hot Dogs for lunch ... Yummy!

In the evening, we will have a camp fire with Marshmallows and songs. Our activity leader is in a band... so were looking forward to some classics like 'Relight my Fire' smiley

Hope you are missing us!

Day 1 at Lambourne End

We have arrived at Lambourne End safely and Year 6 had a great afternoon and evening. We went swimming and then played games. We shared a group story before bed too. The children were out like lights and everyone slept well. Looking forward to Day 2!

World Book Day

Today we celebrated World Book day by coming to school dressed as our favourite book characters. Everyone had a wonderful day and enjoyed lots of reading themed activities. The theme of World Book Day this year is ‘You are a Reader’. In our World Book Day assemblies we talked about how we are readers, our favourite authors and why reading is so important. We also showcased our impressive costumes and discussed the characters we were dressed as. Our winners Kai and Isabella, who were dressed as Zombie Boy from the Alex Ryder series and Medusa, both received a Golden Ticket to redeem against a book of their choice. After our celebration assembly, we were so excited to welcome our secret teacher, Miss Nicholson from Year 4 into our classroom to share a story with us. Thank you to all parents and carers for your support and effort with the fantastic costumes that were on display today. We are so glad that everyone had such a great day.

A Visit from Santa

Year 6 were very excited to have a visit from Santa this week and he even brought along some early Christmas gifts for the children too!
