Autumn Term

We have been very busy celebrating Christmas! On Thursday 13th of December, we had Christmas jumper day. On Wednesday 19th December, we enjoyed Christmas lunch, dressed up as our favourite Christmas character. We raised lots of money for the charity, 'Crisis.' We also had a surprise visit from Father Christmas, who gave us a special gift!

In Science, our topic is 'Artful Flowers, Fruits and Seeds.' We have closely observed the reproductive parts of flowers. We learned the female part is called the stigma and the male parts are called stamen. Our task was to build a flower model and rehearse the names of the reproductive parts.

In English, we took part in a class debate. We had to argue if we were FOR or AGAINST the World Cup in Brazil. We enjoyed expressing our opinion and giving reasons why.

Last week, our class made 'Rainbow fruit skewers' using a range of healthy, fresh fruit. We used raspberries, strawberries, oranges, apples, pineapple and grapes.  These vitamin packed fruit skewers were quick and easy to make. They look colourful too!

CLC Trip

On Thursday 18th November, Year 4 went on a trip to the CLC. We learnt how to code using software called 'Scratch' to design and create our own game.

St. Teresa's class visit to St Dominic's Priory

On Tuesday 16th October, Year 4 visited the church. Fr. Lawrence taught us about the Rosary and showed us some of the shrines.

We are a great class full of active children. We are hard workers, but we also love to have fun! Our page will be updated regularly by our class teacher so that you can see all of the exciting things we get up to and look at what we have been learning about. We hope you enjoy our class page!
