Internet Safety

As the vast majority of our children use the internet regularly it is very important that they know how to stay safe when they are on-line. At school we teach the children about the positive uses of the internet but also about the possible dangers of being online. We teach the children how to stay safe by keeping personal information private, being careful about sharing images and what to do if they are victims of abuse or cyber-bullying.

For parents we have also put some helpful information on our website as follows:

  • The Camden Safeguarding Board (CSB) has produced some useful internet safety advice leaflets for parents, as have the NSPCC.

  • We have also included some information guides for parents about the different and often bewildering range of social media apps and networking sites that children are currently using. We hope that this information will enable parents to make informed choices about the suitability of such apps and sites for their children.

If you have any concerns about your child’s safety online or any incidents of Cyber-bullying, please do not hesitate to make an appointment to discuss these with Miss O’Prey and Ms Giverin.
