Mini Vinnies- Pupil Chaplaincy Team
Mini Vinnies Summer visit to the Rosary Garden
Our Mini Vinnies recently welcomed Fr. Joseph into school and organised cards from each class to celebrate his Ordination. Fr. Joseph will continue in his role of School Chaplain next year and we very much hope the Mini Vinnies will have more opportunities to visit the Church and be involved in different celebrations and events taking place.
Yesterday the Mini Vinnies also visited the Rosary Garden behind the Church to meet with Fr Lawrence, our Parish Priest. The children enjoyed explaining the things they have begun working on in school this year to help St Dominic's school community in our faith journey and what they hope to do next year.
Fr Lawrence showed us the beautiful Rosary Garden, including the plaques marking the different Mysteries of the Rosary and the mosaic Rosary beads along the pathway. The children really enjoyed their visit and thank you to Fr. Lawrence for making them so welcome and for such a lovely guided tour of the Rosary Garden. Thank you also to Miss Hoare, the RE Leader, who joined the children and who is working with them in their role as Mini Vinnies.
Our Mini Vinnies are looking forward to continuing in this role next year and supporting our children and wider school community.
This Spring term at St Dominic’s we appointed our brand new Mini Vinnies.
The Mini Vinnies are St Dominic’s Pupil Chaplaincy team. They will work alongside Miss Hoare, our RE leader, as a pupil leadership team with the main aim of supporting the Catholic Life of our school.
