‘Book Week’ took place last week in all classes with many different activities to promote and celebrate reading. This is such a valuable and important life-skill for children to develop and we also want to encourage children to develop an enjoyment of reading and read for pleasure.

The ‘Book Fair’ was also open each day and thank you to the children and to parents/carers for your very generous support of this event. Every book sold gives the school 100% commission to buy new books for our classrooms and we had sold £1249 worth of books! This is an amazing amount and we really appreciate your support.

A huge thank you to our fantastic Literacy Leader, Miss O’Toole, for all her hard work organising Book Week and the Book Fair and thank you also to all the staff who helped after school each evening.
