Christmas Fair

The Christmas events got off to a fantastic start with our first Christmas Fair on Monday evening, organised by the Parents Association. A wonderful group of parent helpers spent all day in school on Monday getting everything ready and there was a fantastic turnout and support from children and parents after school. We are delighted to have had such a fun and enjoyable event involving the whole school community and are very appreciative to the Parents Association for the hard work and commitment that has gone into this event.

A huge thank you to all the parents who have helped with the preparations over the last few weeks and especially on the day of the Fair itself, including the clearing up afterwards. A special thanks to Jade Kavanagh and Donna Cole for their work in getting the Association up and running and for putting so much time and effort into this being a very successful event.

Thank you also for your very generous donations of sweet jars, food, and other gifts and prizes for the Fair and for such great support at the event itself. The hall was busy from the start to the end of the Fair with lots to enjoy. The children enjoyed making their own letters to Santa in the wonderful arts and craft area and having festive face-painting and sticker decorations done.

The refreshment and food and gift stalls were also very busy and the raffle and tombola stalls were very popular as great prizes had been donated by parents and also by many local businesses. Every class had made Christmas-themed decorations and these lovely hand-made items were a popular buy with parents and family members. The beautiful Santa’s Grotto created was really magical for the children to enjoy and captured the excitement of Christmas. Over £900 has been raised at the Christmas Fair and some final sales are still taking place. The Parents Association will send out more details about this at the start of next term. Thank you again for your support of this event.
