As well as the Christmas concerts, there have been lots of other events taking place this week at school. A visiting drama company performed the ‘Mother Goose’ pantomime for Reception to Year 6 classes on Wednesday morning and the children really enjoyed the comedy and drama of the story. They were a great audience and really got into the spirit of the panto, singing along and joining in with all the responses.
This was followed by Christmas lunch and the children enjoyed a lovely lunch prepared by the Caterlink team. Thank you to all the Caterlink staff, led by Niki, who had been in school from very early that morning to prepare everything in good time and make sure the children had a great time.
Many classes also had their Christmas party and these events have all been very exciting for the children.
The Christmas Jumper Day also took place and the children were really imaginative in their designs. There were fantastic examples of Christmas jumpers and decorations on display and the money raised from this and other sales and events in the last two weeks will go towards our Advent fundraising campaign.
The whole school had a treat when Father Christmas arrived a few days earlier than expected! Father Christmas visited all the classes and had a gift for every child. Thank you Father Christmas for visiting us at such a busy time, the children were thrilled to see you. A very big thank you also to the Parents and Carers Association for your generous donation of gifts, the children were delighted and we had lots of happy faces in school all day!
