End of the Year - Fond Farewells and Warm Welcomes
The end of the school year is a time when we can reflect on the year that has passed and look forward with optimism to the year ahead. This has been a very challenging year for all schools, their staff, children and parents to say the least. It will not be a year which we will forget in a hurry!!
The Leadership Team at St Dominic’s would like to extend its sincere thanks to all the amazing staff at St Dominic’s who always work with the utmost commitment and dedication to our wonderful school, our children and families. However this year, we must acknowledge the additional stresses and pressures which have been placed upon them and their families, during the national lockdowns. We are thankful for their remarkable resilience, continued good humour, care and support of each other and the pupils and families. YOU ARE AMAZING!!!
We would also like to thank parents for their support of their children during lockdown, again we know that many parents felt additional worries and pressures during these times, juggling working from home with Remote learning. Again thank you for being your child’s new teacher, entertainer and counsellor during the year. YOU ARE AMAZING!!!
The children have now all met their new teachers for next September. As we look forward to next year, we are saying goodbye to some staff members whilst welcoming others……
Our fond farewells to Ms Clement who has been working with us for the last four years, as an SEND teacher. Ms Clement is leaving to take up a position in a specialist SEND school. Miss Martin who has been a TA/ LSA in Key Stage 2 for the last year and a half. Miss Castro who has been our Year 3 teacher this year, she is now re-locating from Camden and has a new teaching position closer to her new home. Miss Diggins-Thorp who was teaching Nursery this year, will be returning to her native Australia in the summer, and Miss Williams who was the Year 4 TA this year, will be pursuing her acting and entertaining career full time next year. Finally, we also say goodbye to Miss Cerhan who covered Reception for Miss Rees this year. We would like to wish these staff the very best of luck for the future and thanks them, especially Ms Clement for their hard work supporting the children of St Dominic’s. Our warm welcomes to Miss Smith who will be working in EYFS next year and Miss Nicholson who will be teaching Year 4 next year.
