The children in EYFS have been really interested in firefighters and learning all about them. This week they helped to make a fire engine and painted lots of fire so we could act out the roles. The children used their imaginations and different items from around the playground as a hose before using the spray bottles to put the fire out. 

We were so lucky and even had the fire engine come and visit us in school. The children got to use the hose to squirt water and move the cone, before going inside to see all the different equipment. Melanie told me "I liked going inside. I went in the front and the back. The boots were in the front." Michael said " The hose goes back in the fire truck. I was so excited when I was in the fire truck! It has so many blue lights."
