Latest Learning in Year 2
This week in Science Year 2 have been experimenting with making circuits using wires, cells, buzzers, bulbs and even switches. It was great to see the children's reactions when the light bulbs illuminated!
In DT, we wanted to investigate the strength of different shaped structures using paper and discovered that a cylinder was the most stable 3D shape for holding heavy books. We were so surprised at how many dictionaries could be balanced on a single cylinder! These findings will help us when we build our Fairground Wheels next week.
