Thank you for all the emails and phone calls we have been receiving over the last few weeks, we really appreciate you keeping in touch with us and letting us know how you are getting on as lockdown continues. As well as their weekly class letter, teachers have been enjoying hearing from the children in their class and keeping in touch via the school email.
Following last week’s Government announcement about some classes returning to school next half term, we have been waiting for guidance on how schools can best begin to offer this provision. We will be contacting Reception, Year 1 and Year 6 parents in the next day or so to begin to get an idea of how many parents are considering sending their children back to school as this will help us begin to plan for 1st June. We may have to consider options such as different year groups returning to school at different times, staggered start and finish times and group sizes, based on the numbers of children who may return and the staff available. We will be letting parents in these year groups know before school closes for the half term break at the end of this week what the return to school for each year group will look like.
Please do let us know if you have any enquiries about the home learning resources posted each week on the website and we aim to get back to you as quickly as possible.
A number of parents collected home learning packs earlier this half term. These packs contained a selection of Literacy, Maths and other learning resources. A further selection of home learning resources are available for parents to collect to continue using to support their child’s learning. Please let us know if you need a pack of additional resources.
We hope you continue to stay safe and well and have a good week working together.
From everyone at St. Dominic’s
