In EYFS this week we have been busy learning about different seasons especially winter. It has been a very cold week so we explored the ice both outside and inside, we talked about why ice melts when we hold it, because our hands are hot, and that when it melts it goes back to water. We also learnt how to build igloos, it was very tricky to get the cubes to balance and make a roof. Some children through of creative ways to make a roof such as paper and pip-cleaners.
On the 1st December Christmas arrived and we got in the festive spirit by decorating the Christmas tree and the class room. Some children also decided to write a letter to Santa using their phonics.
