This half term in Maths, Year 5 have been building on previous learning. This week we have focused on perimeter, area and volume. In this lesson, we took our learning outside of the classroom. We had to measure  the length and width of the studio, benches, football pitch, picnic tables and the ramp for our slide. We did this so that we could then calculate the perimeter and area which to find out how much new fencing and paint we would need. .. Year 5 couldn't believe the cost of re-decorating!!
