Year 5 Science

In Year 5, our Science topic is 'forces'. This week, we have been investigating claims by  the scientists: Aristotle and Galileo.

Aristotle believed that the heavier the object, the faster gravity would pull it to the ground, whereas Galileo disagreed. He said that this was not the case and that the weight of an object did not matter.

As Scientists, we had to carry out our own investigation to determine who we thought was correct. After making predictions, carefully planning our investigation and carrying it out, we found that Galileo was correct; The weight of an object does not affect the speed in which it falls.
