School Trips and Events to Promote British Values
November is the Month of Remembrance
In the month of November, we have been thinking about why November is known as the 'Month of Remembrance' and how we live in a free and safe democracy.
We also prepared for Remembrance Sunday during assemblies and lessons and talked about the poppy as a symbol for remembrance and why the British Legion sells poppies to help members of the armed forces and their families.
On Remembrance day itself, 11th November, we observed the two minute National silence here in school. Thank you to our Year 6 pupils who have been selling poppies and for everyone who supported this so generously.
Please take a look at the photos below of our school remembrance displays and some of our children's work. Thank you to all the pupils who helped to create these beautiful displays.
