School Trips, Workshops and Other Events to Support Children Staying Safe at St Dominic's
Keeping Safe at St. Dominic's - Workshops
Helping to keep children safe is our first priority at St. Dominic’s and all work on safeguarding at school is led by Ms Giverin, the Deputy Head and Safeguarding Lead. This involves her working closely with children, parents/carers and staff to ensure everyone understands their own role in helping to keep children safe.
At St. Dominic’s we are committed to providing workshops to the children to teach them about how to be safe at school, at home and in the local community. Ms Giverin organised a number of events this year involving the NSPCC charity and Internet safety and training for the Year 6 children from the Growing Against Violence (GAV) organisation. These workshops are really helpful for our Year 6 children as they prepare for the transition from Primary to Secondary school.
