Through Science at St Dominic's, we aim to foster pupils' curiosity, provoke awe and wonder and encourage pupils to ask questions about things they notice. We strive to do this through fun, hands-on, interactive experiences which allow pupils to test their ideas and develop their scientific knowledge and understanding of the world around them. 

Our Science curriculum provides the foundations for understanding the world through the specific disciplines of biology, chemistry and physics. It has been designed to ensure that pupils' scientific learning is revisited and extended to deepen and build their understanding as pupils progress throughout their journey from EYFS to Year 6. In Science lessons, there is emphasis placed on learning key subject vocabulary and children are supported to articulate scientific concepts clearly and precisely.
