Week Beginning 5th September 2022

This week Caitlin has been chosen to be Star of the Week for St. Patrick's Class. Caitlin has had an amazing start to Year 1 and has demonstrated our learning value 'Resilience'.

She never gives up when faced with a new challenge and has worked hard to complete her work independently!

Well done Caitlin for a fantastic first week back at school! We are so proud of you!

Week Beginning 20th June 2022

This week everyone in St. Patrick's Class has earned Star of the Week for having a great attitude in their Phonics Screening. They have made us extremely proud. Well done Year 1- you've all been Phonics Superstars!

Week Beginning 23rd May 2022

Joanne has been chosen to be star of the week for St Patrick's class. This term Joanne has worked incredibly hard to improve her segmenting and blending skills in Phonics and therefore has demonstrated our learning value 'Ambition'. Joanne is beginning to recognise when she has read a word incorrectly and is able to correct herself using alternative sounds that she has learnt. 

 

We are so proud of your hard work! Well done Joanne!

Summer has been chosen to be star of the week for St Patrick's Class. This week Summer has demonstrated our learning values, 'Enthusiasm and Focus'. Summer has been chosen to be star of the week, for her improved effort and focus during writing lessons. Summer has been determined to get all of her writing tasks completed and has worked independently to achieve this. Well done Summer! We are so proud of your hard work!

This week Nellie has been chosen to be star of the week for St Patrick's Class, for showing our learning value 'Ambitious'. Nellie has worked extremely hard in her maths lessons and she has been really ambitious by trying to solve all of her maths word problems this week! We are so proud of your great attitude to learning Nellie, Well done!

Week beginning 25th April

This week Amala has been chosen to be star of the week for St Patrick's Class, for showing our learning value 'Ambitious'. Amala has had an amazing week! She has worked extremely hard to improve her reading and writing skills. This week we were innovating the story of Jack and the Beanstalk, and Amala made some fantastic contributions during our whole class discussion. We are so proud of your great attitude to learning Amala, Well done!

Week beginning 19th April

This week Ciara has been chosen to be star of the week for St Patrick's Class. Ciara has had an amazing start to the new term. She has worked extremely hard to improve her reading skills and is beginning to read fluently with confidence. We are so proud her great attitude towards reading! Well done Ciara for a fantastic first week back at school!.

This week Rares has been chosen to be star of the week for St Patrick's Class, for showing our learning value 'Confidence'. Rares is a hard-working member of Year 1 who is a pleasure to teach. This week he is our star of the week for his fantastic performance in our Easter Assembly. He showed great confidence and enthusiasm! Well done Rares, You're a superstar!

This week Sapphire has been chosen to be star of the week for St Patrick's Class, for showing our learning value 'confidence'. Sapphire is a confident and bubbly member of Year 1 who is a pleasure to teach. This week Sapphire has shown great enthusiasm and commitment to learning her lines for the Easter play. Well done Sapphire we are so proud of you!

Week Beginning 14th March 2022

This week Noel has been chosen to be star of the week for St Patrick's Class. Noel is a kind and bubbly member of Year 1 who is a pleasure to teach. This week he has shown our learning value 'Confident' as he is beginning to work more independently in Maths. This week Noel was able to apply his knowledge of measurement to carry out different weighing experiments, using different types of equipment. Well done Noel, we are very proud of you!

Week beginning 7th March

This week Gabrielle has been chosen to be star of the week for St Patrick's Class. Gabi is a wonderful member of Year 1 who is a pleasure to teach. This week she has shown our learning value 'Ambitious' for making fantastic contributions during lessons and has worked extremely hard on reading with expression. We are so proud of your attitude to learning Gabi, Well done!

Week beginning 28th February

This week Ciara has been chosen to be star of the week for St Patrick's Class. Ciara is a wonderful member of Year 1 who always comes to school with a positive attitude and a smile on her face. Ciara is star of the week for being a thoughtful member of our class. She is always the first to offer help to those around her, whether it is tidying up, handing out books or helping other people. We are super lucky to have her in our class. Well done Ciara keep up the fantastic work!

Today Marie has been chosen to be star of the week for St Patrick's Class. Marie is a bubbly and hardworking member of St Patrick's Class who always tries her best. Marie has shown great determination in phonics and maths this week. She has worked extremely hard to improve her counting skills and is beginning to write using her phonics knowledge. Well done Marie keep up the fantastic work!

This term Amala has demonstrated our learning value 'Resilience'. She never gives up when faced with a challenge and has especially shown this throughout her narrative writing this week.

This week Nyah is Star of the Week for St Patrick's Class. Nyah is a bubbly and enthusiastic member of our class which makes her a great role model for everyone in Year 1.

Nyah has worked extremely hard to stay 'focused' this term and she has produced some fantastic Maths and Literacy work this week. Well done Nyah, Keep up the great work!

 

Week Beginning 4th January 2022

Today Andrew is Star of the Week for St Patrick's Class. Andrew is a bubbly and helpful member of our class which makes him a good friend to everyone in year 1.

 

Before Christmas Andrew was finding it difficult to write a sentence without adult support however since coming back he has demonstrated our learning value, 'Focus'. Andrew has worked extremely hard this week to complete his sentence writing independently. Andrew maintained focus throughout his writing task and completed his animal description to the best of his ability. Well done Andrew for becoming more independent in your writing.

Summer has been chosen to be star of the week for St Patrick's Class. Summer is a kind and hardworking member of our class, which makes her a great friend to everyone in Year 1. 

 

This week Summer has demonstrated our learning value ' Confidence'. Throughout her time in Year 1 it has been great to see how much Summer's confidence has grown.

This week Summer has shown great enthusiasm, when practicing and performing our Christmas Nativity. Summer has been very confident when singing and doing the actions to our songs.  Well done, Summer you're a superstar! ​

Milana has been chosen to be star of the week for St Patrick's Class. Milana is a bubbly and hardworking member of our class, which makes her a great role model to everyone.

This week Milana has demonstrated our learning values, 'Enthusiasm and Focused'.

Milana has been chosen to be star of the week, for her improved effort and focus during writing lessons. Milana has shown great enthusiasm when taking part in whole class discussion's about our class text 'Lost and Found'. She has also been determined to get all of her writing tasks completed and has worked independently to achieve this. Well done Milana!

Week Beginning 29th November 2021

Today Moesha has been chosen to be star of the week for St Patrick's Class. Moesha is a hardworking and caring member of St Patrick's Class which makes her a great friend to everyone. This week Moesha has demonstrated our learning value 'Enthusiasm'. Moesha has grown in confidence throughout her time in Year 1 and is keen to engage in whole class discussions. On a visit to the church this week Moesha was keen to answer questions and openly shared her ideas about the importance of Advent. Well done Moesha! Keep up the great work!

Today Nellie has been chosen to be star of the week for St Patrick's Class. Nellie is a bubbly and caring member of St Patrick's Class which makes her a great friend to everyone in Year 1.  This week Nellie has demonstrated our learning value 'Focused'. She has been working extremely hard to improve her handwriting skills, ensuring that all of her letters are formed correctly and sit neatly on the line. Well done Nellie for always adopting a enthusiastic approach to your learning.

Week Beginning 15th November 2021

Today Joanne is Star of the Week for St Patrick's Class.  Joanne is a kind and helpful member of our class which makes her a good friend to everyone in year 1. At the beginning of the week Joanne was finding it difficult to write a sentence without adult support however she demonstrated our learning value, Resilience which allowed her to complete her letter writing independently. Joanne maintained a positive can-do attitude that enabled her to persevere with her writing task. Well done Joanne for gaining confidence and becoming more independent in your writing.
