Teacher Letters

Monday 13th July

Dear Children,

This is my last letter to you this term. I am very sorry that we could not all meet up and have a chance to share with each other how Lockdown has been for all of us. I can imagine you would have many stories to tell…. maybe some are very sad (I am very sorry, if, this is so) and some are a bit funny- I do miss your laughter!

It is sad that we will not be able to talk about the books we have read, the things we have learnt and to carry out our learning and art activities together. If you could manage to read a book every week, during the holidays, it will be very helpful for when you return to school in September.

Please take time to enjoy the weather, relax, play and really enjoy yourself-your childhood is very precious! Please be kind to your parents and carers and thank them for helping you with your learning.

Thank you for adapting to this style of learning and trying to do your best- I really appreciate it.

Keep staying safe!

Best wishes,

Ms Clement

Monday 29th June

Dear Children,

I hope you had a good week-I am sure you enjoyed the sunny weather! It has been a strange time recently- if I can pop into a shop without queuing, I feel a great sense of success!

If you get a chance please write to me, or send me a picture about the funny things that have been happening to you. What films would you like to recommend to everyone?

Keep staying safe,

Best wishes,

Ms Clement

Monday 22nd June

Dear Children,

I cannot believe that in one week’s time it will be July. How are you?

I know you will be missing school and your friends. It is good to talk about our worries and share them with our family. Please be kind to yourself and your family -we are in an unusual time.

I hope you like the Colour activity this week, it will be fun to find the objects in the rainbow colours and create a picture.

Keep safe, best wishes,

Ms Clement

Monday 15th June

Dear Children,

The weather seems to be improving again which makes us all very happy.

We are going through a strange time but you have been very brave coping with all the changes, your parents and carers will have been working  hard to ensure you are still learning,  please remember to say thank you to them!

I have set quite a few books now in Home Learning, which one was your favourite?

Looking forward to hearing from you.

Best wishes and keep staying safe,

Ms Clement

Monday 1st June

Dear Children,

I hope you had a lovely half term break. I am sure you have enjoyed the weather as much as I have. How are you managing the home learning? If you get a chance please write to me, tell me what you enjoy most and least?

It has been a long time now since you have been to school, are you fed up with TV? Yes? No?

I am spending a long time in my garden and I see a couple of pigeons and a couple of magpies everyday. They sit on the wall and they swoop for the worms that I uncover, when I am gardening.

I thought it would be nice for you to observe the young chicks starting out in life, in Springwatch. Please tell me what is your favourite nest?

Looking forward to hearing from you.

Best wishes and keep staying safe,

Ms Clement

Monday 11th May

Dear Children,

I hope you had a good week. The weather is improving and I am sure you are enjoying it on your daily exercise trips. It is lovely to see Spring emerging and the trees full of blossom.

Are you watching (And doing) Joe Wicks' daily workout?

It would be lovely to hear from you. You can send me an email to admin@stdominics.camden.sch.uk

Best wishes,

Ms Clement

Monday 4th May

Dear Children,

I hope you are well. I know you have been very brave coping with all the changes, you may be missing seeing your friends and family but it is good you are keeping safe.

I have been reading, cooking, gardening and doing a little painting in the last few weeks.

I am trying to keep to a routine everyday.

It seems very strange, at times but hopefully,  things will improve in the next few weeks and months.

Please write to me and tell me how you are and what you have been doing.

If someone can take a photo of your work and send it in an email, I will print if off and put it in your book.

You can send an email to  me at the school's admin address (admin@stdominics.camden.sch.uk) or you can write a letter to me.

I hope you enjoyed reading the books that I have recommended, tell me which one has been your favourite!

Keep well and have a lovely week,

Best wishes,

Ms Clement
