Uniform

All children at St.Dominic's wear school uniform from the Nursery class onwards.

Girls
Girls wear a white school blouse, school tie, a school navy cardigan or jumper with the St.Dominic's school badge, white/grey/navy socks or tights and sensible black shoes. Skirts or pinafores should be navy if possible, or grey. Girls may also wear navy trousers in the cold weather. In summer girls may wear a blue and white checked or striped dress.

Boys
Boys wear a white school shirt, school tie, either a school navy sweatshirt with the St. Dominic's school badge, navy/ grey socks and sensible black shoes. Trousers should be black or grey. In the summer boys may wear a short sleeved polo shirt without a tie.

Ties and book bags are available to purchase from the school office.

 

Prices are:

Navy Jumper £10.25

Navy Cardigan £11.25

Clip on tie £4.50

Tie £3.00

Book bag £4.50

 

Plain black shoes/trainer style shoes should be worn in school.

Hair & Jewellery

Long hair beyond shoulder length should be tied back with a plain band or ribbon (navy, black, white) and haircuts or colouring of an extreme nature are not accepted in school.

For health and safety reasons watches and stud earrings are the only jewellery that can be worn at school. 

P.E. Uniform

At St. Dominic's, children are expected to wear the school P.E. uniform. This is available to purchase online.

 

The P.E. uniform consists of:

Navy P.E. sweatshirt with logo

Navy jogging bottoms with logo 

Navy shorts with logo 

White t-shirt with logo 

 

The total price of the P.E. kit is £26.20. Replacement items can be purchased individually. 

 

Children need their PE kit in a named bag and they can wear simple black plimsolls. All items of clothing should be marked with the child's name. 

 

Swimming

Children in Years 3 and 4 need a sensible swimsuit/trunks, bathing cap (for long hair) and a towel for swimming lessons. Please ensure that your child brings their kit on the days for their lessons. All items of clothing should be marked with the child’s name. 

Hair & Jewellery

Long hair should be tied back with a plain band or ribbon (navy, black, white) and haircuts of an extreme nature are not allowed in school.

Jewellery should not be worn to school. It can be dangerous and can be lost. Children with pierced ears should wear only studs or small sleeper earrings. Staff cannot accept responsibility for jewellery worn to school.
